Short Biography

Bin Liu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Information Systems, Chambers College of Business and Economics at West Virginia University. He also holds an adjunct appointment with the Lane Department of Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. He is interested in data mining and machine learning, and their intersections with recommender systems, healthcare, business analytics, and privacy/security. He has published in premier journals such as IEEE TKDE, ACM TKDD, ACM TOPS, ACM TIST, and Diabetes Care; and in top conferences such as KDD, AAAI, WSDM, and USENIX Security. He received his PhD in Management (Information Technology track) from Rutgers Business School, Rutgers University.
